• Shakespear­e in the Park 2018 season of “The Tempest” continues with performanc­es every Thursday

and Friday until Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. in Galt Gardens amphitheat­re. Director DJ Gellatly has set the magical world of the Tempest in the future, on a distant planet (think “Shakespear­e meets Star Trek!”). • Galt Museum’s popular Summer Cemetery Tours are back. The tour schedule includes: Mountain View Cemetery Aug. 1 and Aug. 14; and St. Patrick’s Cemetery July 31 and

Kootenays, Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. The tour will visit the Doukhobor Village and Museum in Castlegar, Slocan Valley (Lemon Creek, Popoff, Bay Farm, Slocan City), New Denver (home of The Nikkei Memorial Internment Centre), Sandon, and Kaslo.
