the Okotoks Dawgs in which the Bulls put up three runs in the eighth and ninth innings to force extra innings.

On Thursday, the Prospects 6-0 lead — including a four-run third inning, was enough for the win as the Bulls fall to 19-26 and two game behind the Prospects (20-23) for third place in the Western Division as the rematch goes tonight at Spitz Stadium at 7 p.m.

After going up 1-0 after the second, the Prospects added four more in the third inning for a 5-0 cushion and added one more in the fourth.

That’s the way it stayed until the Bulls managed some late offence with three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but the Prospects were able to close out the game and look to make a sweep of it tonight.

The Prospects outhit the Bulls 12-6 as first baseman Kaleb Warden has the sole multi-hit game for Lethbridge, going 2-for-4 with one run scored.

Penner was given the loss for the Bulls, going three and one-third innings and surrendering six runs on eight hits, walking one and striking out two.

After tonight’s game, the Bulls host their final regular season home game Saturday night when the Medicine Hat Tigers come to town at 7 p.m.

Lethbridge wraps up the regular season on the road Sunday when they travel to Okotoks to face the Dawgs.
