Lethbridge Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of assaulting an officer who had responded to a wild Halloween party at La Cite Des Prairies.

Peyton Thomas Kale Many Shots, 18, of Brooks, is charged with assaulting a peace officer, disarming or attempting to disarm a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.

On Sunday, at approximately 1:30 a.m. police responded to a large out-of-control party at La Cite Des Prairies along the 600 block of 21 Street South. Upon arrival, police say they were met by a large crowd of intoxicated youths exiting the building after a fire extinguisher had been discharged in the event hall, resulting in a number of fights breaking out.

Subsequent investigation determined, police said in a release Tuesday, La Cite Des Prairies had been rented for a private Halloween party. Approximately 100-150 youths ranging in age from 15 to 21 were in attendance and consuming alcohol.

Damage to the building is estimated at approximately $4,000.

As the crowd was leaving the facility, a secondary disturbance and fight broke out one block south of the school.

While an officer was placing one subject under arrest, another man, identified by police as Many Shots, allegedly tackled the officer from behind and knocked him to the ground. The accused then allegedly attempted to hold the officer down and remove his Conducted Energy Weapon from its holster. The officer was able to break free and maintain control of the weapon.

Police say the subject fled the scene. The officer sustained non-lifethreatening injuries in the altercation.

Anyone with information on Many Shots’ whereabouts is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest.
