Casa host­ing youth con­certs

Mu­sic is in the air this week and next at Casa.

Stu­dents from the Univer­sity of Leth­bridge mu­sic con­ser­va­tory will present a “First Fri­day” con­cert to­day at 12:15 p.m.; ad­mis­sion is free, and au­di­ence mem­bers are in­vited to bring a bag lunch.

This evening, the Casa-based Ven­tus Women’s Choir will present its sea­sonal con­cert, 7:30 p.m. in St. Au­gus­tine’s Angli­can Church.

On Satur­day, it’s the strings stu­dents win­ter con­cert, 4 p.m. at Casa.

Next week, the Let’s Drum En­sem­ble will per­form at 5 p.m. Tues­day with WHIP (We Hit It Per­cus­sion) per­for­mance at the same time.

There’s a Young Artist Mu­sic Academy con­cert planned for Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., fol­lowed on Dec. 15, 1 p.m. by a choir con­cert at the west­side Im­manuel Lutheran Church.

And later in the month, on Dec. 22, Casa will play host to “Tuba Christ­mas,” a fun-filled sea­sonal event pre­sented an­nu­ally by the Leth­bridge Com­mu­nity Band So­ci­ety.

While it’s “ad­mis­sion by dona­tion” to many of th­ese events, Casa will have tick­ets or in­for­ma­tion for the oth­ers.
