Scheidegge­r tied for first

The Casey Scheidegge­r rink has improved to 3-1 at the 2018 Home Hardware Canada Cup in Estevan, Sask.

Scheidegge­r and her Lethbridge Curling Club rink of third Cary-Ane McTaggart, second Jessie Haughian and lead Kristie Moore lost their first game of the week 7-6 to Chelsea Carey Thursday morning, but got back on the winning track in the evening draw with a with a convincing 12-2 win over Winnipeg’s Allison Flaxey.

On Thursday night, Scheidegge­r managed the win in eight ends thanks to a 5-0 lead after two ends and a four-ender in the fifth.

The Lethbridge rink added another three in the eighth end to move to 3-1 and into a tie for first place with Kerri Einarson of Gimli, Man. and Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg.

Scheidegge­r plays both those teams today as she takes on Einarson in the 8 a.m. draw before facing Jones at 1 p.m.
