Schei­deg­ger tied for first


The Casey Schei­deg­ger rink has im­proved to 3-1 at the 2018 Home Hard­ware Canada Cup in Este­van, Sask.

Schei­deg­ger and her Leth­bridge Curl­ing Club rink of third Cary-Ane McTag­gart, sec­ond Jessie Haugh­ian and lead Kristie Moore lost their first game of the week 7-6 to Chelsea Carey Thurs­day morn­ing, but got back on the win­ning track in the evening draw with a with a con­vinc­ing 12-2 win over Win­nipeg’s Al­li­son Flaxey.

On Thurs­day night, Schei­deg­ger man­aged the win in eight ends thanks to a 5-0 lead af­ter two ends and a four-en­der in the fifth.

The Leth­bridge rink added an­other three in the eighth end to move to 3-1 and into a tie for first place with Kerri Ei­nar­son of Gimli, Man. and Jen­nifer Jones of Win­nipeg.

Schei­deg­ger plays both those teams to­day as she takes on Ei­nar­son in the 8 a.m. draw be­fore fac­ing Jones at 1 p.m.
