Golden Hawks re­turn home Sun­day

Af­ter their third straight game on the road to­day, the Leth­bridge Val Mat­teotti ban­tam AAA Golden Hawks re­turn home Sun­day.

The Golden Hawks face the Cal­gary Roy­als Sun­day at noon in Al­berta Ma­jor Ban­tam Hockey League play at Ni­cholas Sheran Arena.

But be­fore that, the Hawks are down the road in Medicine Hat to­day to play the South­east Tigers.

Leth­bridge heads into the week­end com­ing off a 3-1 loss to the Cal­gary Flames last Satur­day in Cal­gary that puts the Golden Hawks at 4-8-2 and last in the AMBHL Ram South Divi­sion.

The Tigers are 9-5-3 and in sec­ond in the Ram South Divi­sion, while the Roy­als are 1-13-2 in last in the Chal­lenger South Divi­sion.

Rylen Ro­ersma and Pey­ton Twigg lead the Golden Hawks with 16 points each in 13 and 14 games, re­spec­tively.

The Golden Hawks have two more home games be­fore Christ­mas.

They host the Grande Prairie GPAC Golden Ar­row Storm Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at Ni­cholas Sheran and wel­come the Flames to town Dec. 20 at 7:45 p.m. at Ni­cholas Sheran Arena.

The Golden Hawks are on the road Dec. 15 when they face the Oko­toks Oil­ers at 3:45 p.m.
