• The Sounds of the Season concert series has returned to City Hall, bringing holiday music for residents to enjoy. Concerts are free; donations of unwrapped toys and gifts for children and youth aged 17 and younger and/or nonperisha­ble food items will be collected for the Christmas Hope Campaign. • Pop in Lots with Moms and Tots, a group for moms and tots (dads, grandparen­ts and child-minders, too) meets Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-noon at VIA Church, 2820 18 Ave. N. Enjoy coffee and conversati­on while letting your kids play. Details: Phone 403-3202005.

• Downtown City Speakers Toastmaste­rs Club

• Do you, or someone you know, have a gambling problem which is causing havoc in your life and relationsh­ips? If so, you’re welcome to attend weekly meetings of Gamblers Anonymous, held

• TOPS #AB 100, Lethbridge meets Tuesdays in the Lower Fireside Room, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 2406 11 Ave. S. Please use the door off the parking lot. Weigh-in time 9:15-9:45 a.m. Meeting 10-11 a.m. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a not-for-profit support group for members who are trying to lose or maintain their weight. • #11 Lethbridge Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, for boys and girls ages

Some of the areas the society assists in include: Family, civil, criminal, traffic, employment, residentia­l tenancy, immigratio­n, AISH, EI and social assistance issues. • LSCO Karaoke Club meets every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Come join them for good fun and singing. There is an extensive library with all the words on the screen.

• Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Club, 517 5 Ave. S., invites the public to play shuffleboa­rd, mixed darts and billiards (pool) Fridays, 7 p.m.; shuffleboa­rd Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; crib on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.; and open crib tournament second Sunday of the month at 1 p.m.

• Craft and Chat takes place every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at the Barons Legion. Bring whatever craft you’d like to work on. Cover charge $1.

• The Lethbridge Blind Bowling league is looking for volunteers to assist with their Blind Bowling Program. We bowl every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Holiday Bowl. If you can help with this fantastic program, call Bill at 403-942-1677.

• La Leche League meets monthly (typically the second Tuesday of each month) and provides breastfeed­ing support and research-based informatio­n to pregnant and breastfeed­ing mothers. • Order of the Eastern Star Maple Leaf Chapter #7 holds its monthly meeting the second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Masonic Hall in Lethbridge.

• Oldman River Potters Guild meets every second Tuesday of the month (except July and August) at 7 p.m. in the studio at 326C 10 St. N. The public is welcome to attend. • Alzheimer Society Taber Caregiver Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 2-3:30 p.m. at Clearview Lodge, 4730 50 Ave., in Taber.

• Stroke Care Partner Support Group meets second Tuesday of every month (Sept. to May) at 6:50 p.m. at the Lethbridge Seniors Centre Organizati­on, Room B. Anyone who provides any level of care to a stroke survivor is welcome. This is a free drop-in service, but please RSVP to our email if you plan on attending. • Revellers Dinner and Games Night will be held Dec. 12 at the basement level at The Keg (Country Kitchen Catering) on Mayor Magrath Drive. Facility is wheelchair accessible. • A Stroke Survivors Group for stroke victims and their families meets second

Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Room A of the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Centre, 500 11 St. S. The group is part of the Lethbridge Stroke Recovery Associatio­n, formerly known as Chinook Stroke Club.

• Prairie Tractor and Engine Museum Society holds a directors’ meeting the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Kleeman Building at the Pioneer Village of Coyote Flats on Prairie Tractor property (1.5 km south of Picture Butte High School on Highway 843). An open discussion session immediatel­y follows the meeting. Visitors welcome.

• Alzheimer Society Magrath Caregiver Support Group meets second Wednesday of each month from 1:30-3 p.m. at Garden Vista, 37E 2 Ave. N. in Magrath.

• Barons Ag Society Bingo takes place the second and fourth Wednesday of the month until April 24, 2019 at the Barons Community Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m., bingo at 7:30.

• Lethbridge Public Library will host The Joy of Cookbooks, featuring “Holiday Favourites and Cookie Decorating” Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Main Branch, Upper North Wing. Do you love trying new recipes? Do you find enjoyment in browsing recipe books? Join us on the second Thursday of the month for The Joy of Cookbooks to discuss your favourite cookbooks, share recipes, and bond over cooking experience­s. Each month we’ll highlight a specific theme, host guest speakers, or participat­e in special epicurean activities.
