Ar­rest war­rant issued for woman

An ar­rest war­rant has been issued for one of sev­eral peo­ple charged fol­low­ing a po­lice raid on a Leth­bridge home just days be­fore Christ­mas.

Tif­fany Genereaux of Stand­off was sched­uled to at­tend court in Leth­bridge Fri­day, but when she never showed up, Judge John Ma­her issued the war­rant.

Genereaux, 27, is charged with drug pos­ses­sion and drug pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing re­lat­ing to a drug bust Dec. 21 at a home in the 200 block of 15 Street North, where 13 peo­ple were found but only six ac­tu­ally charged.

Dur­ing the search, two more peo­ple were ar­rested after one ar­rived to pur­chase drugs and an­other met with an un­der­cover po­lice of­fi­cer nearby after calling the house to set up a drug deal.

Po­lice said they seized 21 prepack­aged doses of car­fen­tanil, 16 prepack­aged doses of heroin, stolen iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and health cards plus stolen prop­erty that in­cluded skis, a moun­tain bike and tools.

Shelly Be­vans of Fort Macleod and Leth­bridge res­i­dents Deon Gros Ven­tre boy, Richard Shaw, Jes­sica John­ston and John Jones, were also charged fol­low­ing the po­lice raid.

Jones, who faces sev­eral un­re­lated charges, as well, pleaded guilty Thurs­day to one count of drug pos­ses­sion and was sen­tenced to 14 days in jail. Court was told that dur­ing the search of the home po­lice found on a dresser .4 grams of heroin be­long­ing to Jones.
