MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

Simba is a good-looking orange and white boy who was born in 2016 and came to the Humane Society last spring. Simba likes people a lot, and is very snuggly. He doesn’t like other cats as much as he likes people, and occasionally gets into tussles with his roommates. Mostly he keeps to himself, exploring and visiting the volunteers. If you are interested in meeting Simba, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). To view other Haven pets, go to www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com and click on the Available Pets link. Also check out the Lethbridge and District Humane Society on Facebook.

Jazzy is a special little guy. He is happygo-lucky, full of energy and enjoys human companionship. He even enjoys being with other feline companions. Approximately 10 months old, he originally came from Taber with an older kitty companion who has recently been adopted. Jazzy is fully vetted and currently in a foster home, waiting for his forever adoptive home. You really could not find a sweeter boy. You can read more about Jazzy and what we do at Last Chance Cat Ranch by visiting us on Facebook and our website. www.facebook.com/lastchancecatranch and www.thelastchancecatranch.com. For donors who supported us in 2018, tax receipts are in the mail. Thank you to everyone who supported us at our bottle drive last weekend and visited us at the Handmade Market. We will also have a craft and information table at Centre Village Mall on Feb. 16, next weekend. Thank you to everyone in our community who has helped out homeless cats during the terrible cold snap.

Q-bert: you’ll remember that unusual name, and we think you’ll remember this adorable kitten — especially if you drop by Homes Alive (downtown) today, Feb. 9 from noon to 3 p.m. About four months old, this medium-haired orange and white boy knows his priorities: good company, play-time and food. Q-bert needs friends — human or feline, he’s excellent with either. He’ll want to spend a lot of time with you, especially on your lap, but if you are working at your computer, he’ll join you, and improve your spelling by using the keyboard himself. If you’re ready for fun and games, Q-bert is, too. Do you have a cat already? Q-bert is open to the idea of siblings; as long as they are playful and friendly, this boy will be happy. Don’t worry about him trying to take others’ food at meal-time. He has courteous manners: he won’t even go looking for food on kitchen counters. What he is looking for is a permanent, loving home. Meet him at Homes Alive today, call PAW at 403-328-6700 or send an inquiry at www.pawsociety.com. We think that if you meet Q-bert, you will have reason to remember him: you’ll want to make memories with him forever.

Hydro is an adorable kitten approximately four and a half months old who was found by some kind employees at Fortis. He has since been treated for earmites and vaccinated. Hydro is very playful and affectionate. He gets along great with other cats and dogs and loves his fish video games. Hydro is up for adoption at Petland. Hermione was a transfer from a rescue in Taber. She is very affectionate and would do well as an only cat. The adoption fee for Hydro and Hermione is $225 each which includes first vaccinations, deworming and neuter. Call Linda (403-381-9169) or Sam (403382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information. We are also on Facebook. We are always in need of donations to help with our neverending medical bills. Thank you so much to those individuals who have donated.

Jake is around nine months old and a very large, fluffy boy. He’s in his awkward teenage hair stage so try not to judge him based on those ears! Jake just needs a toy and he is instantly entertained. We passed him the toy and he ran around creating his own joy. He’s hilarious to watch. He is fantastic on a leash and walks along nicely with you. He’s already huge and is just going to get bigger, so obedience training with this fellow is highly recommended. He gets along great with strangers, kids and larger dogs but he is not good with little dogs and cats. Jake loves his belly rubbed and is quite calm in the house. He’s the type of dog that is high energy for a short period of time and then generally pretty mellow. Visit
