• Exploring the Power of Steps 6 and 7 will be studied at Martha Retreat Centre Feb. 9 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. These two steps are the heart and soul of the AA program. They provide healing and transforma­tion that builds on the forgivenes­s experience­d in Steps 4 and 5, 8 and 9. Facilitato­r: Archbishop Emeritus Sylvain Lavoie, OMI. Cost: $50 (lunch included). • Six O’clock in the Chapel will take place Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at Southminst­er United Church, offering a brief, reflective vesper service with beautiful music in the small and inviting Buchanan Chapel. Worship leader is Rev. Tad Mitsui. Everyone is welcome to come and listen to Tad’s words of wisdom.

• Coaldale United Church, 2022 18 St. in Coaldale, will hold its Annual Turkey Supper Feb. 10 from 4-6 p.m. Adults $15 each, children 6-10 years $6 each. Takeout orders $15 (one size only). Phone 403345-3240.

• Southminst­er United Church is offering monthly Labyrinth walks. Next session will take place Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m., led by Veriditas-certified facilitato­r Nancy Fabro. • Oasis Day will take place at Martha Retreat Centre Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This day will provide a quiet day to reflect on and embrace compassion and love as we face the challenges of life. • The All New Watoto Children’s Choir Tour will visit Lethbridge Feb. 27 for a free concert at 6:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. W. Be part of a vibrant worship experience as the children share their stories and present worship from Uganda.

• World Day of Prayer 2019 will be celebrated March 1, including a service at 7 p.m. at Church of the Ascension Anglican Church, 2115 17 St., Coaldale. The theme is “Come - Everything Is Ready,” with this year’s program written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Slovenia. For more details, visit https://worlddayof­prayer.net/index.html.

• The World Day of Prayer will be celebrated March 1 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Church, 1302 4 Ave. S. The featured country this year is Slovenia. Refreshmen­ts to follow. Everyone is welcome.

• A Book Study: Walk on Water, Meditation­s on Christian Faith will be offered at Martha Retreat Centre on Wednesdays, March 13, 20, 27 and April 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. This four-week book study has 12 themes and 48 scripture-based photo/meditation­s each with questions for personal reflection and group discussion. • Moment by Moment will be offered at Martha Retreat Centre March 23, 9 a.m.4 p.m. (lunch included). Cost: $60. This one-day silent retreat gives participan­ts a time to step away from the regular pace of life and practice present-moment awareness. Facilitato­r Cheryl Dick will provide pointers on opening to the beauty and peace that is with us in each moment of our lives through reducing the unnecessar­y chatter in our minds and opening to our natural inspiratio­n. • Do you like to sing? Men, young and older alike, are encouraged to join the Lethbridge Christian Men's Choir. The choir presents Christmas and spring concerts each year. Practices run each Thursday, 7:30-9 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, 1100 40 Ave. N. The choir also performs throughout the year at senior complexes or hospitals if possible. • An interfaith devotional gathering is held Sundays from 1-3 p.m. at the Baha’i Informatio­n Centre, #2, 310 12 St. S. Includes prayers and readings from various faiths followed by discussion. Everyone is welcome. Details: 403-394-8888.

• The Missions Thrift Store, now located at 3001 32 St. S., is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Profits go toward mission work and Bibles for people in China and other Asian countries. Phone 403-327-3199.

• The MCC Thrift Shop, located at 1117 2 Ave. “A” N., features Level Ground Fair Trade coffee, formerly carried by Ten Thousand Villages. Proceeds from the store go to support poverty reduction projects around the world through Mennonite Central Committee. • Coaldale United Church operates Ye Old Thrift Shoppe Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2022 18 St., Coaldale.
