Rams earn home-court win

Every player hit the scoresheet as the LCI Rams topped the visiting Chinook Coyotes 100-72 in Southern Alberta 4A Boys Basketball League action on Tuesday.

Marshall Scott led a balanced Rams attack with 14 points while Isaiah Bagnah had 12, followed by Tanner French and Brandon Laycock with 11 points apiece. Will Boehme also hit double figures with 10.

Brenden Sarmiento replied with 23 points in a losing cause while Karson Valgardson and Liam Doyle added 11 and 10 respective­ly.

In junior varsity play, LCI doubled Chinook 102-50 as Dray Walburger tossed in 29 points. Ryan Evans and Will Ash added 11 apiece with Mason Hoffman contributi­ng 10.

Jessen Jace replied with 15 points for Chinook and Court Jarome added nine.

In other action, Winston Churchill Bulldogs outlasted the Catholic Central Cougars 90-78 as Raphael Hogan and Cian Cailao scored 22 and 20 points respective­ly. Joel Alexander followed with 15 points while Reuben Roth scored 12 and Eric Delauw 10.

Jorge Osorio replied with 17 points for the Cougars while Clent Pedal scored 14 with Nate Moreira and Raphael Batingal chipping in with 11 and 10 respective­ly.

CCH defeated Churchill 5950 in the JV contest as Josh Crawford led all scorers with 30 points and Daniel Marcic added nine.

Polo Los Banos led Churchill with 12 points and Frank Campbell added eight.

SOUTHERN ALBERTA GIRLS

Lucy Wilde hit for 19 points as the Magrath Pandas improved to 10-0 with a 57-37 victory over the Raymond Comets in Southern Alberta Girls Basketball League play Tuesday.

Laura Payne added 17 for the Pandas while Montana Berezay chipped in with 11.

Taylor Graves, Saige Gibb and Kelby Terry replied with eight apiece for the Comets.

In JV action, Magrath defeated Raymond 51-41 as Carly Blackmore scored 16 points and Macie Wocknitz added 10.

Bella Zeremba topped Raymond with nine points and Cassidy Quinton added eight.
