Canes in Swift Current tonight

-

After wrapping up a six-game homestand with a win, the Lethbridge Hurricanes hit the road for one game.

The Canes are in Swift Current to take on the Broncos in Western Hockey League play tonight at 6 p.m.

Lethbridge defeated the Calgary Hitmen 6-2 Wednesday night at the Enmax Centre to improve to 28-16-5-5 and into third place in the Central Division.

That puts them one point back of the 31-193-2 Medicine Hat Tigers and four back of the 3117-4-4 Edmonton Oil Kings, who beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-2 Thursday night.

The Hurricanes return to the Enmax Centre Saturday when they host the Saskatoon Blades at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday the Hurricanes announced forward Scott Mahovlich has returned home to be with family after a family emergency.
