• Contemplat­io (formerly Taizé

Prayer) will take place Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Martha Retreat Centre, featuring ecumenical, meditative, multilingu­al, musical devotion, based on the music and style of the French ecumenical religious community of Taizé, a world-renowned centre of pilgrimage and prayer. Be part of a vibrant worship experience as the children share their stories and present live worship from Uganda. • World Day of Prayer 2019 will be celebrated March 1, including a service at 7 p.m. at Church of the Ascension Anglican Church, 2115 17 St., Coaldale. The theme is “Come Everything Is Ready,” with this year’s program written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Slovenia. Wednesdays, March 13, 20, 27 and April 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. This fourweek book study has 12 themes and 48 scripture-based photo/meditation­s each with questions for personal reflection and group discussion. • A Deepening Retreat in Centering Prayer will be offered Friday, March 15, 7:30 p.m. to Sunday, March 17,1 p.m. at Martha Retreat Centre. This retreat is for persons who are committed to centering prayer and desire a deepening experience of the role of the Holy Spirit in centering prayer. Director: Pat Boehm. • Moment by Moment will be offered at Martha Retreat Centre March 23,9 a.m.-4 p.m. (lunch included). Cost: $60. This one-day silent retreat gives participan­ts a time to step away from the regular pace of life and practice present-moment awareness. Facilitato­r Cheryl Dick will provide pointers on opening to the beauty and peace that is with us in each moment of our lives through reducing the unnecessar­y chatter in our minds and opening to our natural inspiratio­n. • Lenten Twilight Retreat will be offered March 26 from 5-9 p.m. at Martha Retreat Centre. “Lent is a time to once more hear the voice of the prophets who cry out and trouble our conscience.” - Pope Francis. Through Scripture, reflection and sharing we let God clothe us with goodness and mercy, so we may become more like Christ, servants of God and others. • Do you like to sing? Men, young and older alike, are encouraged to join the Lethbridge Christian Men's Choir. The choir presents Christmas and spring concerts each year. Practices run

each Thursday, 7:30-9 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, 1100 40 Ave. N. The choir also performs throughout the year at senior complexes or hospitals if possible. A great time for men to get together and bring the message of Jesus Christ in song to listeners. • The MCC Thrift Shop, located at 1117 2 Ave. “A” N., features Level Ground Fair Trade coffee, formerly carried by Ten Thousand Villages. Proceeds from the store go to support poverty reduction projects around the world through Mennonite Central Committee. The shop is open Monday
