Rattlers ringette provincial­s-bound

U16 TEAM OFF TO PEMBINA NEXT MONTH

The Lethbridge U16 Rattlers ringette team is headed to provincial­s.

The Rattlers will represent the Lethbridge Ringette Associatio­n at Provincial­s in Pembina March 8-10.

The locals added two more wins last weekend with an 11-0 shutout of the South Calgary Snipers and following that up with a 12-4 win over the North West Pulse.

In the win over the Snipers, Brynn Stevenson led the Rattlers with five goals, while Emily Miller scored three.

Madi Andres, Ruthie Bohnec and Teagan Tailfeathe­rs added singles.

Mikayla Miller had four assists and Madison Borbely had three.

Trey Blair was in goal, facing 15 shots.

Lisa Beswitheri­ck had two goals and three assists for the Rattlers in the win over the Pulse.

Mikayla Miller and Andres each scored twice and had two assists.

Emily Miller had a hat trick and Tailfeathe­rs, Stevenson and Bohnec scored once each. Stevenson also had six assists.

Emma Zgurski had two assists.

Trey Trekofski faced 20 shots in goal for the Rattlers.

The Rattlers will compete against 11 other teams at provincial­s.
