- LETHBRIDGE HERALD

City residents interested in current projects and plans are invited to learn more about them next Wednesday.

An open house will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at Casa, with opportunities to speak to officials involved in specific initiatives. They’ll include transportation-related projects such as cycling corridors, the bicycle bylaw, the mobility accessibility master plan and downtown parking,

Recycling, parks improvements, urban forest management, new fire stations, electric utilities and Lethbridge Transit improvements will also be up for discussion, along with still more topics.

Officials say information booths will be set up, with an opportunity to chat with project managers, and there will be activities for children as well.

Transit buses will also be on site — marking May 27-31 as “Accessibility Week” — and residents will have an opportunity to speak with staff about accessibility opportunities on both traditional buses and Access-A-Ride vehicles.
