MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

Luna is an affectionate, sweet girl who tries to get along with everyone. She's about two years old and came to the Humane Society in the spring of 2018; she was surrendered with another young cat. Luna is a bit shy at first, but loves attention and quickly settles in. She is playful and curious and enjoys playing with toys and with other cats. Luna also enjoys a nice nap in the sun on the Catio! She has been spayed and vaccinated and is ready to go to her forever home. If you are interested in meeting Luna, you can visit her at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). To view other Haven pets, go to and click on the Available Pets link. Also check out the Lethbridge and District Humane Society on Facebook. www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com

Today, May 25, will be your chance to meet one of the most loving cats available for adoption. Buddy will be at Pet Parade (220 12 “A” St. N.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. What makes this 13-month-old so warm-hearted? Well, he’s all about friendship. This nice grey and white fellow is cautious at first. He loves people, but isn’t always sure they will love him. He may ask about this by tapping you with his paw, sometimes at night — because he’ll want to sleep next to you. He can become attached to someone or something quite easily. He even loves his toys. And other cats? Buddy wants to be pals with them, too. He shares his foster home with several others and gets along with all of them. Friendship, affection, love; whatever positive emotion you’d care to name, you’re sure to find it in Buddy. Meet him at Pet Parade today, call PAW at 403-328-6700, or visit

www.pawsociety.com and send an online inquiry. We think you’ll like Buddy as much as he’ll like you. PAW’s annual garage sale at the Fish & Game Association Hall on 9 Ave. and 10 St. S. starts next week! Go to the website or Lethbridge PAW Society's Facebook page for drop-off details and sale times.

The Last Chance Cat Ranch has over 100 cats that are available for adoption. Many are bonded pairs. Many are in foster homes. Many are shy. Some are young and some are older. All of our cats are fully vetted: altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed. Adoption fees are $250, which covers everything, and often more, including dentals. We are a volunteer rescue that operates exclusively on funderaising. Support from our community is what keeps us going. Neville can attest to that and wants to thank everyone who has helped with donating money to pay his very high vet bill. Visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ lastchancecatranch or our website at www.thelastchancecatranch.com. Our monthly bottle drive is next weekend, June 1. Please message us on Facebook if you have returnables and we will gladly pick them up.

Barbie is just a doll! Barbie was born around March 2018 and is a little fearful of new situations but is eager to experience them. She loves people and is good around most dogs but it is best to approach her slowly. Barbie is playful but she has an old leg injury that looks painful but actually doesn’t seem to bother her. We’ve consulted our vet and an orthopedic surgeon and they both agree that it is an old break that didn’t heal properly, but attempting to fix it would just cause more pain. Update from her foster home: Barbie loves it outside. She runs around and plays. She is learning to take her treats nicely. After playing outside her limp becomes more prominent. She goes into her kennel quietly when we leave for the day. She loves to cuddle and loves to give kisses. Call 403-359-3139 or visit

www.windycityrescue.com for information on the adoption process.

Frollo was found on the westside and taken in by a kind family. Several other people had reported seeing him in the same area. He had been on his own for quite a while and he was severely matted and very hungry. He has since been spot shaved, dewormed, vaccinated and neutered. Frollo is approximately two years old. He is affectionate, very vocal and gets along well with other friendly cats. He is up for adoption at Petland. Thank you so much to Allan, Jolene and their caring staff for their continued support. Call Linda (403381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information about this handsome guy. We are also on Facebook. We have many permanent residents needing dentals. Our bill at Green Acres Animal Hospital is very high and we are always in desperate need of donations. No amount is too small.
