Car show set for Saturday at Logic Lumber

- LETHBRIDGE HERALD

Classic cars, muscle cars, motorcycles and hot rods will be on display at the 13th Annual Rob Dixon Memorial Classic Car Show on Saturday.

Hosted by Logic Lumber, the event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Logic Lumber Car Museum, 214 31 St. N. Proceeds will again benefit Interfaith Food Bank.

A variety of vehicles participated in the show last year, and this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better, with cash prizes for the winners in several categories:

Best in show - $300; best bike - $250; best original car $250; best modified car - $250; best import - $250; best original truck - $250; and best modified truck - $250

All registered vehicles are eligible for door prizes, and Logic Lumber will be giving away an 8x12-foot shed built by Fox Buildings. Enter as many times as you like; each entry requires a $10 donation to Interfaith Food Bank. Raffle tickets for the shed are available ahead of the event as well, at both Logic Lumber and Interfaith Food Bank.

Spectators can participate in a 50/50 draw and silent auction, or try out the food vendors that will also be on site. Festivities are all made possible through support of major sponsors, including Astro Insurance, JV Steel, Timbertech Truss, Harris Rebar, Goodfellow and Warwick Printing.

Whether competing for prize money or just looking to enjoy the show, this is another great event to help the hungry right here in Lethbridge.

There’s free admission for spectators. For those wanting to show their vehicles, there’s a $10 show entry fee. Registration goes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., or call 403-3287755.
