• University of Lethbridge will present The Sweet Boys Nov. 8, 7:309:30 p.m. at W570, Recital Hall. The Sweet Boys is a group of atmospheri­c rockers and sound engineers from New York City. They combined psychedeli­c rock arrangemen­ts, synthesize­r tones, progressiv­e pop structures and cubist soundscape­s into their debut LP Foible Pangs. They recorded their second album at the U of L a couple of years ago, giving Digital Audio Arts students the chance to work with a profession­al band. • The 10th annual Canadian Forces Memorial Film Festival will take place Nov. 810 at the Empress Theatre in Fort Macleod. Six military-related films will be shown alongside lectures and a veterans panel hosted by military historian Stéphane Guevremont, who will provide insight and historical context on topics including D-Day, the Normandy landings, the Market Garden Campaign, and the Vietnam War. $35 Weekend Pass ($17.50 seniors/under 18); $12 Single Adult Ticket ($6 seniors/under 18). It is open to parents/caregivers and their children with disabiliti­es, as well as siblings and support staff. There will be planned activities based on children’s developmen­tal needs, abilities and interests. There will also be open-ended activities for siblings and space for parents to connect.
