One-act play workshop set for Jan. 18

A One-Act Play Workshop, presented by The Playgoers of Lethbridge, will be held Jan. 18 from 10-a.m.-noon and 1-3:30 p.m. at Casa, 230 8 St. S.

Everyone is welcome to this free workshop offered for anyone interested in being involved in directing, producing or performing in a one-act play.

The workshop will be divided into two segments, with the morning session consisting of presentations from a panel of experienced theatre personnel from Lethbridge and area. The topics will include: • One-Act Festival requirements; • Directing; • Stage management; • Playgoers’ resources and support; • Adjudication. The afternoon session will be a mass audition opportunity open to anyone interested in performing in a one-act play. Prospective directors should pre-register their intent to participate and provide sides from their chosen script.
