• The first-ever Pet Valu Virtual Walk for Dog Guides will take place May 31 in a physically distant manner. You are encouraged to show support for Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides by going for a walk, lifting weights, dancing in your living room, running on your treadmill at home, or anything physically active, all while practising physical distancing. Every dollar raised through the event will support Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides and its mission to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them dog guides at no cost. • Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre will recognize Seniors Week with several virtual events in keeping with COVID-19 precaution­s. The schedule includes: June 3, 12:30 1:30 p.m. Nord-Bridge Jammers Live Garage Entertainm­ent through the Zoom video platform; June 5, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., $10 Liver and Onions, drive-by or delivery (pre-order only by calling 403-329-3222 no later than June 4); June 5, Paint Nite via Zoom at 6 p.m. for $40 including supplies dropped off at your doorstep. You will be able to hear and see the art instructor in order to paint your own masterpiec­e! Register by Tuesday, June 2. For details on any of these events, call 403-3293222 and ask for Ashley. • The Mountain Bluebird Trails Conservati­on Society invites you to its annual Trail Orientatio­n Day June 6 to see an active nest box trail in operation here in Lethbridge. It's free! We will gather at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre at 9 a.m., drive to a westside farm and wrap up by noon. Participat­ion will be limited to 15 people. Safedistan­cing measures will be adhered to.
