Southern Alberta Art Gallery

Southern Alberta Art Gallery fosters the work of contemporary artists who challenge boundaries, encourages broad public engagement and promotes awareness and exploration of artistic expression. Their work extends to local, national and international communities. The SAAG will remain closed to the public until further notice as a precautionary measure to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. They are currently working on their plans to safely open the gallery within the community. The dedicated SAAG staff is working from home and have adapted many of their public engagement programs for youth and adults virtually and there are lots of creative and inspiring ways to connect. Check their enews and website for further updates on reopening.

How the community can help?

Looking for a way to get involved in the local arts community? SAAG is fortunate to have the support of a group of skilled and dedicated volunteers ready to lend a hand as their exhibitions and public programming expand, and their events grow in size. SAAG relies on the generous support of community members who donate their time to the various programs and activities of the centre. They value the time volunteers have donated to the gallery and are always looking for new and energetic individuals to join their team! They are currently looking for volunteers to assist as occasional bartenders, gallery tour guides and to be on their board of directors. For more information on these opportunities and how to get involved, visit www.volunteerlethbri dge.com or call the gallery at 403-3278770.
