• The Lethbridge Classical Guitar Society will hold its first public meeting Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Casa. Meetings will be held the third Monday of each month there. Membership­s are available at www.lethbridge­classicalg­uitarsocie­ty.com

• University of Lethbridge is looking for help with research on older adults and healthy brain aging If you are between the ages of 60-75 years, please consider participat­ing in an exciting study! We are learning about how movement behaviours, like sedentary time and physical activity, can affect our brains and cognitive functionin­g. • Lethbridge’s summer classical and art music festival is back with in-person and outdoor “Pop-up” performanc­es featuring a variety of genres of music and local musicians. All evening performanc­es will also be livestream­ed from our Youtube channel for those who prefer to tune-in from home! Free onehour concerts will “pop-up” in various downtown locales starting at 12 p m. Wednesday until Aug.4 featuring up-and-coming and profession­al local musicians (weather permitting). Evening concerts begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at the renovated Sterndale Bennett Theatre. Volunteers and staff will be following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environmen­t for our patrons and seating will be limited. Admission is by donation starting at $10. • Alberta Genealogy Society Lethbridge Branch, # 128 909 3 Ave N,. will reopen to the Public starting Sept. 7. Opening times are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, Sept. 16, AGS Lethbridge Branch will resume holding the regular monthly meetings at the AGS Resource Center at 7 p.m.

The presentati­on on Sept. 16 will be Facial Recognitio­n by Dave Maze, who is an Instructor at the Center for Justice and Human Service, School of Justice Studies Lethbridge College.
