Written (by Steven Knight), financed and filmed entirely during the COVID-19 pandemic, Doug Liman’s 2021 romantic comedy and crime caper stars Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor as a thoroughly disgruntled London couple during lockdown. Frustrated and feeling increased economic pressures, romantically estranged Linda and Paxton hatch a scheme to turn health restrictions to their advantage and pull off a heist at a jewelry store. The excellent supporting cast includes Stephen Merchant, Mindy Kaling, Mark Gatiss, Ben Stiller and Ben Kingsley.

The Batman 7 p.m. on CRV1

Twice-delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, director and co-writer Matt Reeves’ 2022 reboot of the Batman movie franchise finally opened to strong enough business to ensure it a place among the top moneymakers of its release year. Former “Twilight” leading man Robert Pattinson stars as the title character, who uncovers deeper layers of corruption in Gotham City while pursuing a serial killer known as The Riddler (Paul Dano). Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard and Andy Serkis also star.

A Tail of Love 9 p.m., 5 a.m. on W

Bella Channing is dismayed to learn that the future of her dog rescue organization is in jeopardy after they lose funding from their primary sponsor, a dog food company that is being sold. JR Stockard, the son of the company’s late owner, has come home on leave from military duty to coordinate the sale. During a visit to Bella’s facility, JR bonds with a retired military dog, so he helps Bella in her quest to save the rescue. Brittany Bristow, Chris McNally and Jayne Eastwood star in this 2022 romance.
