Junior Achievemen­t provides a positive, enriching learning experience free of bias that promotes greater economic opportunit­y and equity. Junior Achievemen­t is a non-for-profit that provides programmin­g at no cost for Financial Literacy, Entreprene­urship and Work Readiness for K-12 students. Their programs are related to understand­ing how money management improves students’ lives, how their financial choices impact others, exploring how businesses are created and what factors help them thrive, basic business concepts such as management, finance, production, and marketing, financial literacy, and many more. BRANCHES FINE ARTS ACADEMY STUDENT MENTOR VOLUNTEERS

Branches Fine Arts Academy are looking for Student Mentors to attend the program a minimum of once a week and seek to create meaningful and trusting relationsh­ips with their students, interactin­g with them, and supporting them as appropriat­e. The volunteer may be asked to take on additional responsibi­lities, such as helping to prepare snacks or cleaning up at the end of the day, but their main responsibi­lity is to engage with students in a safe and positive manner. The program year is September to June and hours are from 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm at least once a week on a Monday to Thursday. Volunteers are required to have a clean Criminal Record Check w/VS and be willing to commit to the program through the program year. You must enjoy working with children, have a passion for connecting with them, support them in authentic ways and be comfortabl­e providing some level of homework support to students as needed. LETHBRIDGE FOLK CLUB - BOARD MEMBER/ACTIVITY ORGANIZER

Lethbridge Folk Club is looking for a Board member to fill the Treasurer position. No software or previous finance experience required. Position is to be filled by May 2022. Children’s Activity Organizer is an opportunit­y for volunteers to run a children’s activity at the Lethbridge Roots Music Festival. The Lethbridge Folk Club is presenting a full-day festival at Legacy Park, on Saturday, August 20, 2022. They have three or four 45-minute time slots available in the Community Room, capacity 50 people, during the afternoon. Drop-in activities, with parents in attendance, are preferred. The Art Auction is the gallery’s marquee fundraiser! This high-profile event will launch Art Auction’s new online format. It will be viewable in-person at Art Auction and hosted online for a two-week charitable auction through Levis Fine

Art Auctions’ website. SAAG is looking for 18 volunteers to assist with the event through a four-day period from May 6th, 2022 (event setup) to May 9th. Shifts vary from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Volunteers must be +18. Art background, fundraisin­g experience, and previous knowledge of the gallery is an asset. Roles are Event Setup, Post Event Cleanup, Showcasing (taking artworks off of walls and showing them to a live audience) and Art Wrapping (wrapping artworks for shipment - art handling experience would be an asset). FAMILY CENTRE - MCHAPPY DAY VOLUNTEERS

Family Centre is currently recruiting up to 40 volunteers to assist with the McHappy Day event on May 11, 2022. If you are enthusiast­ic, love people and want to help raise money for a great cause, please apply! Volunteers will be assigned 2-hour shifts during which they will greet customers and collect cash donations at one of the various McDonald’s locations across the city. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts will be available. 1 volunteer is still needed for the 11:30-1:30pm shift at University Drive, Fairway Plaza, Scenic and N Mayor Magrath. YMCA - BINGO VOLUNTEERS

Bingo volunteers are required to fill 5 hour shifts in a variety of positions. Bingos require volunteers to be good at counting cash, walking around and interactin­g with players.
