• The German Canadian Club of Lethbridge

is hosting its May Dinner & Dance on May 14 from 5-11 p.m. Chicken Schnitzel dinner by Chef Stella and music by Joel Spire. Members and invited guests can call 403-320-1689 – ext. 3 for reservatio­ns before May 10.

• Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion

will be holding a Mother’s Day Tea and Bake Sale on May 7 at 11a.m. till 1:30 featuring a White Elephant Table, door prizes and 50/50 draw, strawberry short cake, tea, coffee, juice and other goodies. Cost is $6.00 at the north door 324 Mayor Magrath Drive South.

• Lethbridge Revellers Dinner & Games Night

May 11 in the basement of the Keg (Country Kitchen Caterers) Facility is wheel chair accessible. Cost is $20.00. Doors open at 5:30 PM & dinner is at 6:30 PM. Come for a great dinner and a night of cards or Board Games. Newcomers are always welcome. Tickets are on sale Tuesday, May 10 – from 2-3 PM, at the same location. volunteer drivers take seniors to their medical appointmen­ts, to pick up groceries or take them to important life activities. Many seniors in our community are facing extreme loneliness due to the lack of accessible transporta­tion. Even one ride can make a difference. • London Road Jane’s Walk Tree Talk

- Saturday May 7 - 10am -noon. Meet at the old Curling Club (Civic Centre, 6th Ave) and join our tree experts, Lindsay Bell and Ethan Champion to learn about Urban Forestry issues in our beautiful London Road Neighbourh­ood! Lindsay and Ethan are both members of the City’s Urban Forestry team. They will talk about potential diseases and pests, and how to keep our trees in good health. Their talk will end with a Q&A session in Kinsmen Park, and coffees at the Urban Grocer.
