MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

This public service feature runs each Saturday in the Lethbridge Herald.

This little brindle beauty is Zebby! Zebby is a younger mixed breed girl who is patiently awaiting a home to call her own. While she can be a bit shy at first it doesn’t take her long to warm up and then she is ready to play! She’s an active girl who would love an active home to give her lots of outdoor adventures. Zebby is good with other dogs, curious of cats and so far so good with kids. If you are interesting in adoption Zebby or any of the other dogs in our care please visit windycityrescue.com and follow the adoption process.

Hi, I’m Kiyoko! While I may be small in size, I make up for it with a big personality. I’m full of energy, curiousity, and sass! I love getting attention, but it has to be on my terms. If not, I have a habit of getting a little grumpy. In my free time I love to binky and zoom around the house, so a large space with humans who are comfortable with a high energy rabbit is a must! I have been around both cats and dogs, though am not too sure about the doggos. I would be best suited as a single rabbit.

If you are interested in adopting Kiyoko, or would like to learn more about other rabbits currently available for adoption, please visit www. aarr.ca or email us at archiesangelsrr@outlook. com!

Time. What does time mean to a cat? You might think it doesn’t mean anything. Every day is the same as the last. But that’s not true. Take Esmé, or example. Was it only last autumn that this two year old torbie and several other cats were rescued from a rural campground? Yet what a ways she has come in that time. At first, very shy, she became good friends with one of her care-givers, over time. Esmé would hide from everyone else. Now, she’s the sort of cat who expects everyone to step around her. Oh, she is still timid with people, but now she sleeps on her foster-guardian’s bed, which, once upon a time, she never did. A recent move by her foster-family to a new house has helped her come out of her shell more; another move – to a permanent home – would probably do still more, in time. Esmé is fine with other cats, and they are fine with her, but what she wants is to bond with one person, her special human. That will come with time. What does time mean to a cat? Everything. Call PAW at 403-328-6700 or go online at pawsociety.com, and give Esmé the time of her life.
