• Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization Drive Happiness Program volunteer drivers take seniors to their medical appointments, to pick up groceries or take them to important life activities. Many seniors in our community are facing extreme loneliness due to the lack of accessible transportation. Even one ride can make a difference. • Alberta Genealogy Society Lethbridge Branch Let us help you find your Ancestors! • The Second Door Thrift Store (11033rd Ave. N.) Come and check the selection from 9:30-3:30 Monday to Friday.
• Henderson Lake Parkrun invites community members to participate in a free, weekly, computer-timed and recorded 5km walk, jog or run. Our Parkrun is one of about 2100 Parkruns held around the world. Dogs on leashes and kids in strollers are welcome too. The Henderson Lake Parkrun starts at the Kinsmen Picnic Shelter at 9 a.m. every Saturday. • The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is now recruiting volunteers to make a difference in our river valley this spring and summer with Coulee Cleanup, Shoreline Cleanup, and Invasive Weed Pulls. Participation is an effective way to have a positive environmental impact and increase connection with our community. • Schizophrenia Awareness Day Strides of Hope walk is being held be the Schizophrenia Society of Lethbridge on Wednesday May 24 from 12:30-1:30 at Galt Gardens, meeting by the Rotary Spray park. Everyone welcome and encouraged to wear purple.
