MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

This public service feature runs each Saturday in the Lethbridge Herald.

Sonny is a handsome one year old husky cross. He is a great boy who is still learning all the things there is to learn about the world. He did take a few days to warm up to his foster sister but they are now pretty good friends and enjoy a good play session in the yard. Sonny is a cuddle bug and would gladly make a great Netflix buddy.

His ideal home would have another mellow dog to keep him company. Sonny does well with cats but seems to prefer a kid free home, however older teens would be ok.

If you are looking to add to your family and give Sonny the amazing happy ending he deserves please visit www.windycitycaninerescue.com and follow the adoption process.

August loves to enjoy life. This dilute orange mancat is two years old and always up for some fun. Fun comes in different shapes for a cat like August. Sometimes, it’s knocking a ball around an empty bathtub. It might be beating up a floppy fish. Those fuzzy mice are always a good time. But what he likes best is the track-ball. Yet fun isn’t always having something on the go. Sometimes, it’s something quiet and still, such as a nap. And when August has his people close by, life is very good indeed. He’s learning that enjoyment can come from being around other cats; we think a feline just as active and fun-loving as August would be a fine playmate. Whatever his situation, August is likely to find something good about it. He’s that kind of guy. Contact PAW at 403-328-6700 or on-line at pawsociety.com, and be what August will enjoy the most.

Meet Elvis! I was found living rough all winter in someone’s backyard. I am shy but curious and love to binky! Can you be my person?

If you would like to speed date him to your current single bunno, apply for bonding on Archie’s Angels Rabbit Rescue’s website. If you would like to apply to adopt Elvis, head over to aarr.ca.

Blue is a fun loving kitten. He is full of energy from sun up to sun down - except between the hours of 11am and 1pm when he will curl up on your chest for a nap, or he’ll hunker down in his cat bed or a convenient pile of blankets for a snooze. Blue is very cuddly and loves to curl up on you and nuzzle into your neck.

Blue also loves to play and will pounce on other cats to get the game going. He will also climb the cat post to get a better vantage point of her next target. We always adopt our kittens in pairs, or into a home where another cat resides. If Blue sounds like the perfect cat for you, please fill out an application at www.thelastchancecatranch.com.
