• Empowered Filmmaking Master Class hosted by the Interfaith Food Bank in partnershi­p with Reconcilia­tion Lethbridge. Aspiring future Indigenous film makers will be taking part in a week of training May 23-27. Callout to local film makers/photograph­ers to help support the students. • Provincial One Act Festival will be held May 26 & 27 the Yates Theatre. Following their very successful Centennial Celebratio­n last month, Playgoers of Lethbridge are partnering with the Alberta Drama Festival Associatio­n to host the 2023 Provincial One Act Festival on Friday May 26 (7.30 pm) and Saturday May 27 ( 2 pm & 7.30 pm), at the beautiful Yates Theatre. Two days of exciting short plays from all over the province, with winning plays from Edmonton, Calgary, Grande Prairie, Red Deer, High River, Medicine Hat and Taber. Tickets available at the door. • Schizophre­nia Awareness Day Strides of Hope walk is being held be the Schizophre­nia Society of Lethbridge on Wednesday May 24 from 12:30-1:30 at Galt Gardens, meeting by the Rotary Spray park. Everyone welcome and encouraged to wear purple.
