MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

This is sweet Basil and he is a 3 year old yorkie mix. Basil is an incredibly affectionate companion with a heart as sweet as can be! He has a special fondness for the nurturing energy of women and thrives in their company. Although he may feel a bit shy around men initially, with patience and gentle encouragement, he quickly warms up and becomes the best of friends. Basil gets along well with both small and large dogs. At bedtime, he’s a perfect angel, peacefully sleeping through the night in his cozy crate. While he hasn’t quite discovered the joy of toys yet, his playful spirit is just waiting to be awakened! If you are interested in adopting Basil please visit www. windycitycaninerescue.com and follow the adoption process.

If you want to know how resilient cats are, look at Emori. This torbie was saved from a rough life, existing in back alleys while looking after three kitten and with only three legs! She’d lost part of a rear leg, from some violent and unpleasant cause. On top of this, she was very underweight and pregnant again. But once rescued, and after she’d weaned her second litter, she was spayed, and her severely damaged rear leg amputated. And now… now, at a year and a half old, Emori is enjoying life, maybe for the first time. Having put on some needed heft, she plays, she runs! And she’s shown she loves people. Wherever her foster-mum is, that’s where Emori will be. Abandoned, badly injured, forced to be a mother when she was still a kitten, Emori knows that the good life can be hers. She just needs a permanent home, a family of her own. Contact PAW at 403-328-6700 or go online at pawsociety. com, and be Emori’s good life.

This is Hero! He was rescued from a community that refused to care for him or let him in. When our trapper went to meet him he immediately crawled into her arms. He was emaciated, skin and bone, and was immediately taken to the vet for care. After receiving the care and love he so desperately needed Hero started to show us his quirky personality and just how special he really is. Hero is popular among the volunteers at the Ranch because his favourite place to be is on your shoulder or in your arms. He loves to chat and has the cutest old man meow! Despite being seriously underweight, he is strong and active. Hero has a good appetite but he will need an owner who will closely monitor his weight and make sure he eats enough to keep gaining. Hero would love to find a home that can give him all the love and attention his little heart desires! If you’re interested in this sweet boy make sure to fill out an application on our website www. thelastchancecatranch.com.

Our names are Robin (white) and Winston (black), and we are a permanently-bonded pair looking for our forever home! Winston is older, about 10 years old, which is senior age in bunny years. Robin is about 3 years old and was originally abandoned in a box by a dumpster. We are both quiet and a little timid-this just means that we take a little time to become comfortable with people around us, but it is so worth the effort! Winston has large, soulful eyes that you will instantly fall in love with! He doesn’t mind snuggling. Robin loves to binky like there’s no tomorrow when he’s in a large space. He likes to explore. We would likely do best in a quieter home, without small children. We are used to cats and small, friendly dogs. If you would like to apply to adopt our favourite pair, head over to Archie’s Angels Rabbit Rescue’s website aarr.ca.
