• Parkbridge Estates country music jams on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. Address is 2928 - 29 Street South (in behind Leon’s). $3 admission. Come sing, perform, dance or just listen. A backup band is provided if needed/wanted. Hope to see everyone there!
• Blankets for Canada: Coaldale - Picture Butte meets every Thursdays from 10-2 p.m. at 2226 23rd Ave. Coaldale. Items may be
dropped off in our outside bin or at the Picture Butte drop off at 102 - 4 Street South or Nobleford drop off at 909 Centennial Ave. (blue bin on front deck). For more info call Nellie 403–345–3205.
• Blankets for Canada: Lethbridge meets every Thursday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 at Southminster United Church. We welcome volunteers to knit, crochet or sew blankets to join us. Let’s keep Lethbridge warm this winter. We also welcome donations of yarn or material. Drop off at Michaels or Southminster.
• Gamblers Anonymous - Do you, or someone you know, have a gambling problem which is causing havoc in your life and relationships? If so, you’re welcome to attend weekly meetings held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at 408 13 St. N. (front entrance). For more information call 403-331-0822.
• Adult Children of Alcoholics and/or Dysfunctional Families, a support group for people who grew up with the rules Don’t Talk, Don’t Trust, Don’t Feel, meet Thursdays, 8 p.m., 408 13 St. N.

• Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs every Thursday from noon - 1 p.m. at the LSCO (Lethbridge Senior Citizen Organization) at 500 11 St. S. There is no cost to attend, but donations are gratefully accepted. This week’s presenter is Const. • Shaughnessy Community Association Coffee Time and Secondhand Treasures Rooms at the Shaughnessy Community Hall 133-3Rd Street. Open on Tuesdays and Thursday 9 AM-2 PM.
• Barons United Church Thrift Shop located at 113 Main Street, Barons. Open Thursdays 12:304:30 & Saturdays 10:00-2:00. Cash, Debit & Credit Cards Accepted.
• Coaldale United Church Thrift Shop (2022 – 18 St., Coaldale) is open Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Most adult and youth clothing at $2, children at $1 and baby at 50 cents. Household miscellaneous at very reasonable prices. Cash only.
• Trinity Thrift Store at 528 Maple Cres. Picture Butte runs every Thursday 1-4 and Saturday 10:30-2:30. Donations are gratefully accepted and volunteers are welcome. Cash,Debit and Credit accepted. Please call 403-915-1576 for further information.
• Tom Price will be playing at Holiday Bowl on Saturday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.
• The Second Door Thrift Store (1103-3rd Ave. N.) Come and check the selection from 9:30-3:30 Monday to Friday.
• Lethbridge Sport Council Indoor Roving Gyms Tuesdays 5:30- 6:30 PM @ Immanuel Lutheran Church on the westside and Thursdays 10:00 - 11:00 AM @ Servus Sports Centre. • Weekly Jitney Cribbage at the Royal Canadian Legion Lethbridge Branch 4, every Thursday at 6:30pm. Public welcome - please come and meet new friends!
• Barons UC Thrift Shop stop in and check out the great buys and newly added items at 113 Main St. Open Saturdays 10 - 2 & Thursdays 12:30 - 4:30. Clean, Gently used donations are greatly appreciated & can be dropped off during open hours.
• U of L Brain Awareness Week events include Robbin Gibb, associate professor in the department of neuroscience giving a public talk on “The Social Synapse: Using play and relationships to build executive function” at 5:30 p.m. on March 13 at the BMO Auditorium, University of Lethbridge Science Commons. On March 16 the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience will host an open house from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. at the U of L Science Commons building, including a kids’ room with brain-related games and activities (and some real brains!), guided tours of the Science Common Building and the labs, as well as an organizational booth fair with local brain-related organizations such as Lethbridge Dopamine Boxing, Buds in Bloom, Chess for Life and many more!
