• Spring Nature Fest - the Helen Schuler Nature Centre invites everyone to celebrate the change of seasons on today from 1 - 5 p.m. This annual family festival will offer opportunit­ies to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lethbridge’s river valley, featuring interactiv­e activities by the Family Centre, Lethbridge College’s Early Childhood Education Program, the Oldman Watershed Council, and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery. • Shaughness­y Community Associatio­n Sunday is our second monthly Jam Session at the Shaughness­y Community Hall 133-3Rd Street starting at 1PM.

events wrap up on Saturday as the Canadian Centre for Behavioura­l Neuroscien­ce will host an open house from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. at the U of L Science Commons building, including a kids’ room with brain-related games and activities (and some real brains!), guided tours of the Science Common Building and the labs, as well as an organizati­onal booth fair with local brain-related organizati­ons such as Lethbridge Dopamine Boxing, Buds in Bloom, Chess for Life and many more! • Barons Legion is open Friday evenings 6:30-9:30 at 205 Main St. Come out to socialize, play darts, shuffleboa­rd, crib, board games, etc. Open to Legion & Ladies Auxiliary members and invited guests.

• Raymond Hospital Auxiliary holds meetings the third Wednesday of the month Sept - May at 2 p.m. at Red Barn - Ag Society across from Raymond Hospital.

All are welcome to become a member to help us achieve our many goals to purchase much needed items for our hospital as we help many others from our greatly expanded area. At present our ER is being upgraded to serve you. So many items not paid for by AHS are in great need. Our

• The MCC Thrift Shop, operated by the Mennonite Central Committee, is a registered charity and is located at 1117 2a Avenue North. Your generous contributi­ons raise money to directly support poverty reduction in Lethbridge and abroad. invites community members to participat­e in a free, weekly, computer-timed and recorded 5km walk, jog or run. Our Parkrun is one of about 2100 Parkruns held around the world. Dogs on leashes and kids in strollers are welcome too. The Henderson Lake Parkrun starts at the Kinsmen Picnic Shelter at 9 a.m. every Saturday. Complete the simple

• Alcoholics Anonymous - is drinking causing problems in your life? There is a solution! Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requiremen­ts to participat­e. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. Guest speaker will be Kevin McGeough, an archaeolog­ist who has worked in Israel and Palestine for thirty years, who will present an historic account of the region, explaining the major groups and major issues.
