At six and a half months of age, Mika is really showing us what she’s like. Yes, this little tan torbie is as active as a kitten should be: chasing and being chased, batting toys about, zooming through tunnels and over other obstacles. But she’d developing traits that are all her own. She is ready to join any cat for fun; her foster-home is filled with felines of every age, and she likes them all. She is particular friends with her sister, Azreal (also available for adoption); where one is, the other is usually near by – often in pursuit or being pursued! Then, there is Mika’s love of people. There isn’t a human she doesn’t like. Pick her up, pet her, carry her, put her on your lap – this will just encourage her to want more. Hi, I’m Amidala! I am one of 9 babies that were rescued in Coaldale, along with our momma! Momma has been adopted already because she is such a sweetheart, and us babies are no different! We love to be petted, love to explore, love to chew cardboard, and love to re-arrange our spaces. I was named after a female Star Wars character. This pretty lady is Mamacita! She was rescued with her buddy Carlos from a scary situation. With lots of love from our volunteers and receiving the necessary vet care they needed, Mamacita and Carlos have been thriving at the Ranch. Mamacita is a lovely cat who is friendly and good natured. She is very observant and likes to watch everything that’s going on around her. She’s especially intrigued by the kitchen tap and likes to watch it drip or run. She’ll even take a sip from it now and again. If you’re doing anything at the kitchen counter she’s sure to hop up and sit there watching whatever you’re doing. Mamacita likes pets and cuddles on her own terms. Whenever there is an empty box on the floor she is one of the first to check it out and settle down in it. If her beautiful green eyes don’t steal your heart right away then her personality sure will. She’s a quiet girl who has an extremely calming presence. Mamacita is familiar with dogs and children and does well with them. She would do best in a home with other cats. Bear is what we call a “Rescue Unicorn” in behind the scenes. He’s amazing perfect and one in a million! Bear is a happy boy who loves to hang out and cuddle with his foster family. He does well with the dog in his foster home (does need to be reminded on occasions that he doesn’t need to be jealous her), is housetrained and has free roam of the house when they are not home.
