MP accepting nominations for Community Builders awards

-

Lethbridge Member of Parliament Rachael Thomas has opened nominations for her 2024 Community Builders Awards.

Residents of the city and County of Lethbridge are being invited by Thomas to nominate anyone who goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in the community.

In the past, this has included retirees, veterans, farmers, foster parents, educators, artists, athletes, social workers, coaches, entrepreneurs, emergency responders, student volunteers, and many others who go the extra mile to invest in the lives of others and make our community great.

The awards will be presented in four categories: youth leader, adult leader, not-for-profit leader, and business leader.

Recipients of the 2024 Community Builders Awards will be chosen by a panel of community members and honoured at a special ceremony in the fall.

“Every spring, I put out a call for nominations and receive many heart-warming stories of individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations who freely give of their time, talent, and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” said Thomas in a press release.

“These folks don’t expect to be acknowledged or honoured in any way, which makes it extra special to recognize them. They serve selflessly for the sake of others and make a remarkable difference in our community. I look forward to celebrating them,” she added.

“If your life has been positively impacted by the investment of someone in our community, please nominate them today,” Thomas invites.

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, May 17.

Nomination forms can be picked up at MP Thomas’ office or found and submitted online at www.RachaelThomas.ca
