• The PROBUS Club of Lethbridge will meet on Wednesday, April 17 at 9:30 AM at the Lethbridge Mennonite Church Hall, 4303 3 Avenue South. Two presenters from the City of Lethbridge, Crystal Scheit, Urban Revitaliza­tion Manager, and Andrew Malcolm, General Manager Community Social Developmen­t, will provide an overview of the revitaliza­tion efforts underway in downtown Lethbridge including aspects of planning, infrastruc­ture, programmin­g and events, as well as social well-being and safety. • The Alberta Genealogic­al Society will feature a presentati­on by Elaine Toth on “The Nikkei Memory Capture Project”, an oral history project of Canadian people of Japanese descent. • The Lethbridge and District Horticultu­ral Society is hosting a session by Ross McKenzie, an acknowledg­ed expert on southern Alberta soils. He will discuss how to maximize growth in your garden by promoting healthy and nutritious soils. He will also address soils in a low water environmen­t - Monday April 22 at 6:30 in the Public Library Gallery.

• Save Our Churches Associatio­n (SOCA) will hold a its Annual General Meeting from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday April 21, 2024, in the St. Peter and Paul Parish Hall (639 – 12B Street North, Lethbridge). Election of officers, annual reports; Keynote presentati­on on the Bishop’s proposal for East Lethbridge. Only members may attend; new members are welcome.
