• The PROBUS Club of Lethbridge will meet on Wednesday, April 17 at 9:30 AM at the Lethbridge Mennonite Church Hall, 4303 3 Avenue South. Two presenters from the City of Lethbridge, Crystal Scheit, Urban Revitalization Manager, and Andrew Malcolm, General Manager Community Social Development, will provide an overview of the revitalization efforts underway in downtown Lethbridge including aspects of planning, infrastructure, programming and events, as well as social well-being and safety. • The Alberta Genealogical Society will feature a presentation by Elaine Toth on “The Nikkei Memory Capture Project”, an oral history project of Canadian people of Japanese descent. • Gamblers Anonymous - Do you, or someone you know, have a gambling problem which is causing havoc in your life and relationships? • The Lethbridge and District Horticultural Society is hosting a session by Ross McKenzie, an acknowledged expert on southern Alberta soils. He will discuss how to maximize growth in your garden by promoting healthy and nutritious soils. He will also address soils in a low water environment - Monday April 22 at 6:30 in the Public Library Gallery.
• Save Our Churches Association (SOCA) will hold a its Annual General Meeting from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday April 21, 2024, in the St. Peter and Paul Parish Hall (639 – 12B Street North, Lethbridge). Election of officers, annual reports; Keynote presentation on the Bishop’s proposal for East Lethbridge. Only members may attend; new members are welcome. Membership will be available at the door (one-time fee of $5.00).
