• Southern Alberta Art Gallery - looking for a fun and familyfrie­ndly activity on a Saturday afternoon? Visit the Gallery for Crafternoo­n. This month we are excited to feature artist Lauren Kurmey, who will lead participan­ts through a drawing workshop, demonstrat­ing how to capture animal characteri­stics in art. The workshop is appropriat­e for all ages and skill levels. We will be hosting two sessions, one from 1 2:30 PM and one from 2:30 - 4PM. This program is free with Gallery admission. • Tom Price Band will be performing at Holiday Bowl on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

• Henderson Lake Parkrun invites community members to participat­e in a free, weekly, computer-timed and recorded 5km walk, jog or run. Our Parkrun is one of about 2100 Parkruns held around the world. Dogs on leashes and kids in strollers are welcome too. Starting at the Kinsmen Picnic Shelter at 9 a.m. every Saturday. • Alcoholics Anonymous - is drinking causing problems in your life? There is a solution! Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requiremen­ts to participat­e. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.

A.A.’s primary purpose is to help alcoholics to achieve sobriety. • The Lethbridge and District Horticultu­ral Society is hosting a session by Ross McKenzie, an acknowledg­ed expert on southern Alberta soils. He will discuss how to maximize growth in your garden by promoting healthy and nutritious soils. He will also address soils in a low water environmen­t - Monday April 22 at 6:30 in the Public Library Gallery.

• Save Our Churches Associatio­n (SOCA) will hold a its Annual General Meeting from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday April 21, 2024, in the St. Peter and Paul Parish Hall (639 – 12B Street North, Lethbridge). Election of officers, annual reports; Keynote presentati­on on the Bishop’s proposal for East Lethbridge. Only members may attend; new members are welcome. Membership available at the door (one-time fee of $5.00).
