MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

This public service feature runs each Saturday in the Lethbridge Herald.

Milo & Gaya are an adorable bonded pair! Gaya is the grey girl, she is loving and sweet. Milo is the brown boy and loves Gaya more than anything. They are great with the dogs in their foster home, but the dogs are very bun savvy. They will come with 3 litter boxes, foam mats for the floor, lots of boxes that they chew on, lots of toys and wood. (Supplies and/or pen can also be added into the adoption fee.)

If you would like to apply to adopt these sweeties, head over to Archie’s Angels Rabbit Rescue website aarr.ca.

Just turning a year old, Evelyn has become one beautiful girl-cat. A smooth and healthy tortoiseshell, she has made great strides in her socialization. Shy cats tend to bond with one person; once they do that, they will give that person everything. Evelyn enjoys lap-time, and shows trust in her chosen human by rolling over for tummy-pets. Don’t think that she won’t come to have the same trust with anyone who adopts her; kindness, understanding and patience will win Evelyn over. As for other cats, she is pals with her brother Julien (also available for adoption), and the pair wrestle and chase each other every morning for exercise. A tortie is picky about her friends, but Evelyn does like company. She can even entertain herself, pouncing on balls and springs – and talking to them. To learn how Evelyn might talk to you, contact PAW at 403-328-6700 or go online at pawsociety.com. Evelyn may be shy, but this girlcat is ready for an adventure.

Jenny is a young (4 month old or so) french bulldog x beagle. She is spirited and fearless and bursting with energy and sass. She’s all about exploring and having fun, whether it’s chewing, wrestling, jumping or indulging in every puppy pastime imaginable. When it’s naptime, she’s all for cuddles, but only on her terms. Jenny is still adjusting to alone time in her kennel, albeit with some vocal protests. Despite her rough start battling parvo, Jenny’s zest for life shines through, proving she’s a true fighter with an insatiable criousity and boundless playfulness. Meet Pepper! She was born in an LCCR foster home. Unfortunately she had a rough start to life, she was extremely small and her mom tried to reject her. Thanks to her wonderful foster intervening and doing a lot to support her, Pepper started to eat like a little piggie and got stronger and stronger each day.

Pepper is now a spunky little lady who doesn’t run and hide when her big brothers come to play. She’s just as tough as the rest of them and is equally as sweet. If you want to win her heart all you have to do is play with her. Play, play, and play some more. It’s her all-time favourite activity.

Pepper likes to curl up next to her people on the couch and at bedtime she’s bound to come find you for a few pets before curling up at your feet for the night. She does not like being picked up, so her forever family will need to patiently help her see that she’s safe in their arms.

Because she is still young, Pepper needs to be adopted with another cat or into a home that already has one.

If you can provide this cutie with her forever home then please submit an application at www.thelastchancecatranch.com.
