• Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs every Thursday from noon - 1 p.m. at the LSCO (Lethbridge Senior Citizen Organization) at 500 11 St. S. There is no cost to attend, but donations are gratefully accepted. This week’s presenter is Lethbridge Police Service Sgt. • Parkbridge Estates country music jams on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. Address is 2928 - 29 Street South (in behind Leon’s). $3 admission. Come sing, perform, dance or just listen. A backup band is provided if needed/wanted. Hope to see everyone there!

• Blankets for Canada: Coaldale - Picture Butte meets every Thursdays from 10-2 p.m. at 2226 23rd Ave. Coaldale. Items may be dropped off in our outside bin or at the Picture Butte drop off at 102 - 4 Street South or Nobleford drop off at 909 Centennial Ave. (blue bin on front deck). • Gamblers Anonymous - Do you, or someone you know, have a gambling problem which is causing havoc in your life and relationships? If so, you’re welcome to attend weekly meetings held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at 408 13 St. N. (front entrance). For more information call 403-331-0822.

• Adult Children of Alcoholics and/or Dysfunctional Families, a support group for people who grew up with the rules Don’t Talk, Don’t Trust, Don’t Feel, meet Thursdays, 8 p.m., 408 13 St. N. For details call Shannon at 403315-3482.

• Coaldale United Church Thrift Shop (2022 – 18 St., Coaldale) is open Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Most adult and youth clothing at $2, children at $1 and baby at 50 cents. Household miscellaneous at very reasonable prices. Cash only.

• Trinity Thrift Store at 528 Maple Cres. Picture Butte runs every Thursday 1-4 and Saturday 10:30-2:30. Donations are gratefully accepted and volunteers are welcome. Cash,Debit and Credit accepted. Please call 403-915-1576 for further information.

• Barons United Church Thrift Shop stop in and check out the great buys and newly added items at 113 Main St. Open Saturdays 10 - 2 & Thursdays 12:30 - 4:30. Clean, Gently used donations are greatly appreciated & can be dropped off during open hours.

• The Second Door Thrift Store (1103-3rd Ave. N.) Come and check the selection from 9:30-3:30 Monday to Friday.

• Weekly Jitney Cribbage at the Royal Canadian Legion Lethbridge Branch 4, every Thursday at 6:30pm. Public welcome - please come and meet new friends!

• Women and Girls Only swim program hosted by Lethbridge Sport Council, in collaboration with Recreation Excellence and Lethbridge Family Services Immigrant Services, provide a safe and designated space for Women and Girls who are unable to participate in traditional or mixed- gender activities because of culture, religion, beliefs, trauma, insecurities, etc. May 3 at 3:15 - 4:15PM at Stan Siwik Family Swimming Pool. • Gino: A Child of War is an inspiring docu-drama about Canadian soldiers who discover and care for a five-year-old orphan boy in Second World War Italy. Presented by the Lethbridge United Services Institute on May 5 at the Movie Mill at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the Lethbridge Legion Bar or by calling Glenn Miller at 403-360-6076. A Q&A with the director and producer will follow the screening.

• Southern Alberta Antique and Classic Auto Club (SAACAC) meets in the Westminster Community Hall 411 - 16 Street North, Lethbridge AB at 7:15 pm every first Tuesday of the month, except July and August.
