ROASTS AND TOASTS

-

ROAST: To Alberta UCP for appealing the judge’s ruling to release all documents about coal mining in the Rockies. Albertans said they didn’t want that, but you went ahead anyway.

ROAST: To Danielle Smith. You complain about the federal government overstepping, now you are doing the same. Stay out of municipal business.

ROAST: To the Alberta government and their unbelievable overreach into municipal elections and politics. Listen to Albertans for a change. We do not want political affiliations on the ballot box. Stay in your own business unless asked. They should put in a bill so we can remove Smith and her cronies.

TOAST: To MP Rachael Thomas for standing up to Trudeau and his complete lack of respect for Canada. We support you, Rachael. Keep fighting the fight. ROAST: To the people who keep saying that their land was stolen from them. Your claims to the lands that your people lived on were signed away by your ancestors in the forms of treaties. TOAST: After a trip to the grocery store, my car would not start. Before I had time to think what to do next, a young man offered to give my car a boost. As he prepared to do this, another man came by and offered to use his compact car battery on my car. Then a lady came by to offer her phone in case I needed to call someone. I want to thank these kind people. TOAST: I never know from reading Beeber’s column if he is a con or a lib. Maybe he’s objective like reporters should be. Wonder how Danielle will react to his latest one. TOAST: To Lethbridge area service clubs – especially the Rotarians for their work in repurposing emergency equipment for other countries such as Mexico. ROAST: To all those who are protesting the current events in Gaza and Palestine, Is your memory so short that you can’t recall who started this war? While it is regrettable and unfortunate that children are becoming collateral damage, the adults know full well the intent of these Hamas butchers and have either been willfully blind or assisted Hamas in their endeavour. ROAST: To the provincial government for their undemocratic municipal power grab. This is a solution to a problem we didn’t have, and just another power grab by our aggrieved premier.

ROAST: To the person who roasted the City about its Community Conversation but without given facts or points. Just because you did not get what you suggested, did it mean the City not listening to its residents? Have you talked to person in charged? Did you give the city enough time to compiled the results and implement the right choice? I am just a common resident but just wish people not to give negative reviews without reason.

ROAST: To Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas. First she called Trudeau a dictator, then she disparaged francophones. Now she’s been kicked out of the House of Commons. How low can she go? We used to have MPs like Blaine Thacker and Rick Casson who acted like politicians and showed class. Thomas acts like a petulant middle schooler. Even friends in Red Deer are shaking their heads. Thomas wants to be Canada’s Marjorie Taylor Greene.

ROAST: To Danielle Smith and the rest of her repressive regime. A power and control grab once again. Welcome to another scary episode of “Danielle Knows Best.” ROAST: To the individuals who always think that they are right, and are always loud and obnoxious.. ROAST: To those young people being sent door to door to sell solar panel installations. If I wanted them, don’t you think I would investigate and find myself a reputable dealer? TOAST: To the UCP for investing in the irrigation system. You’re helping our farmers save water so they can keep producing all the food your haters eat. TOAST: To the letter from Joan Haig regarding licensing cats. Many people just do not believe or realize just how many wild birds are killed by cats. Cats should be licensed and leashed just like dogs are required to be.
