James Franco, Morgan Spurlock films set for TIFF

The world premiere of James Franco’s “The Disaster Artist"” and Morgan Spurlock’s followup to his Oscar-nominated documentar­y “Super Size Me” are headed to the Toronto Internatio­nal Film Festival.

Organizers announced another slate of films on Tuesday and they include Franco’s film, which he directed and based on the making of Tommy Wiseau’s 2003 cult film “The Room.”

It will be in the horror and thrilled-filled Midnight Madness program, which will open with the world premiere of “Bodied” by renowned music video director Joseph Kahn.

Spurlock’s “Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken!” will have its world premiere in the documentar­y section of the fest, which runs Sept. 7 to 17.

Other newly announced films in the lineup include Greg Barker’s “The Final Year,” about former U.S. President Barack Obama’s foreign policy team.

Nicolas Cage and Selma Blair star in the world premiere of Brian Taylor’s thriller “Mom and Dad.”

Canadian comedy star Jim Carrey is featured in Chris Smith’s documentar­y “Jim & Andy: the Great Beyond — the story of Jim Carrey & Andy Kaufman featuring a very special, contractua­lly obligated mention of Tony Clifton.”

Meanwhile, “Grace Jones: Blood-light & Bami” by Sophie Fiennes captures the legendary performer on and off stage.

Lili Fini Zanuck’s “Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars” is said to be delivers the definitive biography of the rock legend.
