“Call Your Mother” (ABC — series premiere, Jan. 13, 2021)

Kyra Sedgwick (“The Closer”) returns to series television in this new sitcom from writer-producer Kari Lizer (“The New Adventures of Old Christine”), which revolves around bored and restless empty-nester mom Jean Raines (Sedgwick). Noticing that her adult children now seem to be living their best lives, Jean makes the audacious decision to move cross country and re-insert herself in the lives of her offspring, much to their dismay. Rachel Sennott, Joey Bragg, Patrick Brammall, Emma Caymares and Austin Crute co-star. Sherri Shepherd has a recurring role.
