Daily COVID update

The province reported 25 new deaths Friday. A total of 815 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

One of the new deaths is being reported in Medicine Hat, bringing this city’s total to six. The city’s active case number is down to 78. There is one new active case, six new recoveries and a death.

Cypress County has 11 active cases, while Forty Mile sits at one.

Lethbridge is at 182 active cases. Brooks is at 39, Taber is at 21.

Calgary sits at 6,046 and Edmonton is at 7,581.

Alberta identified 1,413 new cases on 19,500 tests. The positivity rate is 7.4%.

There are 759 people in hospital, with 141 in ICU.

There are 19,607 active cases in the province.
