Wow, what a year it has been!

2020 began with so much promise and excitement, as we were Celebrating our 40th Anniversary as a Real Estate Company here in Southern Alberta. To help celebrate, we partnered with a local brewery and produced our own brand of beer (RE/MAX SOLD Lager) and also announced that we would be giving away $10,000 cash as part of our celebration. Not long into the year COVID was upon us and we were challenged to pivot our business as quickly as we could, so that we could operate as an essential service. As the original lockdowns and restrictions were put in place, there was some real fear about how this would all play out and for that reason, we needed to be cautious but calm for our clients, our staff and the general public. Real Estate in many cases is not a choice, but is a necessity and we needed to put a plan in place that would allow us to deliver service uninterrupted in a safe environment. So that is just what we did…… We moved quickly and were ready to help clients with virtual showings, virtual meetings, digital signing platforms and more. While this was happening, our market conditions were good, all the while interest rates were falling. As the months went by, we were contacted by more clients than we ever had in our 40 year history, as people looked to our experience and reputation in the market to help them with their real estate transaction. In an attempt to try to give the Graduates some recognition, in what would be a bizarre time in history, we launched our “RE/MAX Class of 2020” project! We teamed up with some other local sponsors and provided each graduate with an “I’m a graduate of 2020” lawn sign and gave away 3- $1,000 Bursaries to those grads that entered. The support for the program was truly incredible and we were proud to try and bring some happiness to our communities! As we rolled into fall, our Real estate Market continued to show signs of life, as the number of transactions stayed steady across Southern Alberta. We know that the next month or so will be a bit tough on everyone, but deep down, we just need to stay positive, do what we can to help and look forward to a much better year in 2021! We want this time to thank all of those folks who have been on the front lines from the beginning, to help keep us safe. We will forever be grateful for your sacrifices. We also want to thank each and every one of our RE/MAX Realtors, as well as support staff, as your efforts to service clients are unrivalled and your commitment extraordinary. Last but not least, we want toThank all of our clients for continuing to trust us with such an important part of your lives. We will never take it for granted and promise to continue to raise the bar as we look to service your needs!
