Make YXH United as we close the book on 2020

-

Dear editor,

Community taking care of community, that’s ‘YXH United’.

We are united in our support of one another, of our small business community, and most importantly in support of those who are in need.

COVID-19 does not discriminate and has had devastating effects on many individuals. YXH United is a movement designed to bring

Hatter’s together, united as a community in taking care of our neighbours, friends and most vulnerable.

United, our community will overcome and thrive, together we will not be defeated by the impacts of coronavirus.

This Christmas season, let’s do what we can with what we can. Shop our boutique stores, support those online through Shop YXH, treat yourself to a gift card from your hair salon for a New Year new look. Call friends, arrange a Zoom, hold a door for a stranger, meet for a socially distanced walk-in the park, take a night off and order in, use a delivery service or go pick-up in person. Add the extra $1 at the check-out for a non-profit. Send a kind note to a teacher, healthcare worker, or first responder.

Every job matters, every person matters, you matter.

United, we’ll work together to overcome COVID and thrive — we will not be defeated. We will support those who have lost loved ones, those working tirelessly to keep us safe, those who are struggling, and those who need the support.

Medicine Hat (YXH), we got this!
