Tickled Pink

For the wonderful people who decorated their vehicles for the Santa parade and came out to our acreages and gave us the Spirit of Christmas plus warmed our hearts also. It was appreciated by the people who you blessed with this Christmas surprise. It lifted spirits and gave a feeling of gladness. May God bless you for giving freely to giving to others knowing that you will get nothing in return for your time and effort. But thank you is the best I can do for now. Merry Christmas.

Ticked Off

If masks don’t work why do you think doctors and nurses wear them? Did you think it’s so the patient doesn’t recognize them in case they botch the operation? What we need is masks for idiots.

Ticked Off

Our city council should be called Cluggo’s do-nothing club.

Tickled Pink

According to Dr. Hinshaw’s address on Dec. 17, Alberta Health has confirmed through testing, there has not been one diagnosis of seasonal influenza in the province. Perhaps the common cold has also been eradicated?

Ticked Off

That there is no accountability for individuals commiting crimes against society. Murder someone? Five-to-seven years, we will put you in a warm building, feed you three times a day and make sure all your medical needs are attended too. With good time and pre-trial incarceration, out in a few. Victims’ families?

Ticked Off

Mr. Barnes certainly knows which band wagon to jump onto.

In the midst of a pandemic and at a time when tens of thousands

of western Canadians are unemployed in the energy sector, our illustrious Prime Minister has nothing more constructive to do than to announce his escalating carbon tax. This proposal will not only decimate the already struggling energy sector, but drive the cost of living through the roof. He and his cronies need to go. The level of competency of the people we elect and count on to run this country responsibly is alarming to say the least.

Ticked Off

I know what I think of when I hear sirens and see flashing lights moving through my neighborhood, and it’s nothing cheerful.

Ticked Off

We are asked by the Health Minister to miss Christmas with our families while she allows hockey teams from Germany and Sweden into Canada loaded with COVID-19. Really?

Tickled Pink

Pretending that Notley would have all or any of the answers for COVID is laughable. Her solution probably would have been spending billions on rail cars again!

Ticked Off

Selfish lockdown protesters need to grow up. I know it’s human nature to pretend a problem doesn’t exist until it affects you directly, but who has to die to clue you in? People’s lives should come before businesses.

Tickled Pink

Thank you to all the staff at schools who have kept our children safe during these trying times. You are true heroes. Some of the tasks you have been asked to do are not part of your traditional job but you accepted the extra tasks with care and dignity. Thank you for taking such good care of our kids!

Ticked Off

Why do you think that your right to defy the law and not wear a mask trumps my right to not be infected by you?

Ticked Off

So let me get this right. I can’t go for breakfast, shop at the mall, visit with my kids, or mom in a home, but NHL players can travel here from around the world. Then we test them daily, let them travel across the country, province to province, and make millions doing it! I am glad everyone is the same during this time. Crisis, what crisis?

Ticked Off

Scott Schmidt’s column personally attacking Drew Barnes was a little much. I always read his columns and am impressed by the arguments he makes and he also presents another side to most problems. But to use your place at the paper to trash someone personally, is not right. I hope he realizes this.

Now that the snow has melted, we can see what a front-end loader does to the grass when you use it to clear snow off the sidewalk! Drive along Redcliff Way to see how proud we are of our equipment operators! Why use the sweeper when the big machine does it better is our new motto!

Ticked Off

At a stressful time for everyone, why do we have the cold, gloomy, white and blue decorations!? We need some cheerful colours, red and green, even some gold!

Ticked Off

The vitriol and hatred thrown out at people who question mask efficiency is worrisome. What is going to be the response when people try to exercise their right to not take a vaccine?

Ticked Off

All I want to know is how may of our illustrious leaders have received their COVID-19 vaccine.

Tickled Pink

I really enjoyed the Santa Claus Fund parade that went past Chinook Village on 15th Ave. SE on Dec. 13. It brought great joy to the Christmas season. I really appreciate all the work that went into it behind the scenes.
