No doubt prompted by the drama series “All American” — which begins its third season next week — this first of two broadcast specials introduces an eight-part documentary program that will be available on the CW Seed digital network. Yogi Roth and the real-life inspiration for “All American,” NFL veteran Spencer Paysinger, present true stories of athletes who overcame respective challenges to succeed on fields of play. Roth interviews the individuals the segments are about.
Dr. Pimple Popper 7 p.m. on 24
Among the patients visiting Dr. Sandra Lee in the new episode “Cystic River,” Dennis has several giant growths on the back of his head, while Juan has a rare condition he hopes Dr. Lee will understand and be able to treat. Another patient, Natalie, desperately searches for answers as to why her body is covered in hundreds of mysterious dark bumps.
Below Deck 7 p.m. on 33 (BRAVO)
After days of being forced to play musical bunks, Izzy’s condition deteriorates, forcing her to go into quarantine in the new episode “Blood in the Water.” Meanwhile, Captain Lee treats his weary crew to a relaxing day off at a luxury resort. Unfortunately, the day is spoiled by Rachel’s erratic behavior, leaving the others absolutely mortified.

The coronavirus pandemic has taken its toll on Dr. Lim (Christina Chang), but she steps outside her own frayed nerves to try to help a returned soldier cope with a severe case of PTSD in the new episode “Lim.” Dr. Browne (Antonia Thomas) comes up with a possible solution for the situation. Dr. Murphy (Freddie Highmore) has an extreme reaction to a recent loss suffered by a resident he was training.
