Laura and Micah Kropf welcomed the newest member of their family to the world on New Year’s Day.

Lindsey Noel Kropf came into the world at 9:02 a.m., weighing in at eight pounds and one ounce. She is 21 inches tall.

The couple lives in Tilley and have been together for five years. They now have three children they love.

“She is a very happy baby,”said Laura. “She’s eating and sleeping a lot. She keeps growing.

“We actually got to come home that evening.”

Micah says Lindsey is doing great.

“She’s a total sweetheart,” he said.

The couple decided to stay in a local motel leading into the New Year because it did not know when Lindsey would arrive.

“We were in a motel that morning because we didn’t know how things were going to go,” said Laura. “Lindsey came lightning fast, so she was actually born in the motel.

“We called the paramedics and made our way to the hospital after.”

Laura says it was the Quality Inn off the Trans-Canada Highway that the couple was staying at, which is nice and close to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

Now at home, the family is relaxing and getting comfortable in its new routine.
