Sask. announces 412 new cases, eight more deaths

Saskatchewan has reported 412 new COVID-19 cases and eight additional deaths from the virus.

The Ministry of Health says the province’s weekly average of new daily cases sits at 307.

There are 197 people in hospital, with 31 of them receiving intensive care.

The province’s pandemic death toll is now at almost 200.

The new numbers come as many students in Saskatchewan’s capital headed back to school.

High school and elementary students in the Regina Public Schools division returned to in-class learning, after a week of remote schooling to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
