Real-life spouses Alexa and Carlos PenaVega return in their respective roles as photographer Allie Adams and police detective Sam Acosta in their third joint mystery outing, “Exit, Stage Death.” The whodunit opens with Allie backstage on opening night of a new play by murder-mystery writer Neil Khan (Willie Aames, “Charles in Charge”). The show does not go on, however, after Allie finds the show’s leading lady murdered. Sam immediately launches his investigation, with Allie as his unofficial partner, but her involvement puts her in mortal danger as well.
