“Hip Hop Uncovered” (FX — series premiere, Feb. 12)

This new six-part docuseries, airing two episodes each week, examines a vanishing breed of corporate power broker, who operates primarily from the shadowy periphery of the hip hop world. Set against a backdrop of 40 years in the history of this music genre, the limited series takes a deep dive into how America has criminalized aspects of hip hop even as a huge audience is fascinated with the street culture that created this music style, and still exists within it.
